📍 Clapham, London (Hybrid Working, 3 days in office/ 2 from home) 💷 £32,000 - £35,000 DOE 🕒 Full-Time | Permanent

In order to be successful you must have done a compliance administration role within a regulated industry such as Legal, Finance or Professional Services.

Are you an organised administrator with experience supporting compliance, onboarding, AML or KYC processes within a professional services environment? We're delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded law firm to recruit a newly created Compliance Assistant position. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of client onboarding, compliance administration and file management processes, helping to streamline operations and support a growing business. This is a dedicated compliance and administrative role, ideal for someone who enjoys process-driven work and takes pride in delivering accurate, efficient support within a regulated environment.

The Role

As the Compliance Assistant, you will become the key point of contact for compliance administration across the firm, working closely with fee earners, senior stakeholders and clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing client onboarding and matter opening processes
  • Coordinating AML, KYC and identity verification checks
  • Collecting and reviewing client documentation
  • Liaising directly with clients to resolve onboarding queries
  • Monitoring compliance workflows and following up on outstanding actions
  • Maintaining compliance records, logs and client files
  • Supporting file closure and offboarding processes
  • Managing high-risk client records and compliance registers
  • Assisting with risk assessments and escalating concerns where appropriate
  • Supporting colleagues with compliance-related administration and system queries

About You

We're keen to speak with candidates who have experience within legal, financial services or another regulated professional services environment.

You must have:

  • Previous experience in a compliance, onboarding, AML, KYC or administrative role
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence communicating with clients and senior stakeholders
  • A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of processes
  • Experience using compliance, CRM or case management systems

Experience of legal compliance processes, LEAP, Legl or Compliance Assist would be advantageous, but training will be provided.
