The Role
The Customer is at the heart of everything that we do. This role plays an important part of the service we provide to those customers.
The post holder will work as part of the Compliance Team to undertake, with minimal guidance, in-depth compliance reviews. In order to undertake compliance reviews, the post holder must be able to identify, understand, and extract the relevant information from: NHS Pension Scheme regulations; over-riding UK pension’s legislation and associated pension, finance, and payroll systems.
The post holder will be required to deliver high-quality customer service, including communicating effectively with customers, stakeholders, and third-party contractors often on complex and what may develop to be contentious issues. This will involve dealing with both internal and external customers and will require analysis, investigation, payment calculations, and reconciliation of information.
The role will require someone who can be flexible and adaptable in their working day as they carry out the delivery of all the compliance objectives.
If you have experience working in a regulated environment and enjoy analyzing information, identifying improvements, and helping organizations stay compliant, this could be the perfect next step in your career. We're looking for a Compliance Advisor to join our Pensions team, where you'll play an important role in supporting the administration of the NHS Pension Scheme and helping us deliver an excellent service to our customers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
