Role: Compliance Advisory Specialist (Redress / Remediation) Motor Finance

Location: Basildon, Hybrid – 2 days per week on site, 3 days working from home

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: 4 Months (initially)

Daily Rate: Competitive, Inside IR35

Payroll provider: Rockford Payroll Info for Contingent Workers – Rockford Pay

You will need to be able to drive to the site, with parking available.


About the Role

We’re currently looking for an experienced Remediation Compliance Specialist to join a financial services organisation on an exciting remediation-focused assignment.

With a focus on Regulatory Assurance, you will play a critical role in validating that remediation efforts meet stringent regulatory requirements, providing confidence to clients and regulators alike. Your expertise will support the design and execution of assurance activities that safeguard compliance and mitigate regulatory risks.

This is an ideal opportunity for a compliance professional with strong experience working within remediation/redress environments, alongside a background in compliance advisory.

You’ll be responsible for providing specialist advisory compliance input across remediation activity, helping ensure cases and outcomes are managed appropriately and in line with regulatory and organisational requirements.

Key Components of Compliance Advisory

  • Regulatory Analysis: Understanding and interpreting relevant laws and regulations impacting the business.
  • Risk Assessment: Identifying areas where the organization may be vulnerable to compliance breaches.
  • Policy Development: Creating or updating internal policies and procedures to align with regulatory requirements.
  • Training and Awareness: Educating employees and management on compliance obligations and best practices.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Establishing mechanisms to track compliance status and report issues promptly.
  • Remediation: Advising on corrective actions when compliance gaps or violations are detected.
  • Conducting thorough reviews and testing of remediation processes to confirm regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborating with clients and internal teams to design and implement effective regulatory assurance frameworks.
  • Identifying regulatory risks and recommend mitigation strategies to enhance compliance posture.
  • Preparing detailed reports and assurance statements for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

We’re looking for:

  • Proven experience within a Remediation / Redress environment
  • Strong Compliance Advisory experience
  • Previous experience within Financial Services
  • Ability to provide sound compliance guidance and challenge throughout remediation activity
  • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong understanding of regulatory environments relevant within financial services
  • Experience in regulatory assurance, compliance testing, and audit support.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into actionable remediation plans
