Hours: Full Time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
About The Role
We are looking for an organised and detail focused Compliance and Risk Advisor to join our growing Compliance and Risk team.
This is an exciting opportunity to support the continued development of our compliance function, helping maintain our ISO certified management systems while coordinating customer complaints through to resolution.
Working closely with the Head of Compliance and Risk, you'll play a key role in ensuring our compliance processes remain effective, our documentation is accurately maintained, and our accreditation standards continue to be met.
This is an advisor level position with no line management responsibilities, offering excellent opportunities for development as the business continues to grow and expand its compliance framework.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance and ISO Management
You will:
- Maintain ISO management system documentation, registers, and evidence files.
- Support internal audits by coordinating schedules, gathering evidence, and monitoring corrective and preventive actions.
- Keep compliance records accurate and up to date between external audits.
- Manage version control of compliance policies, procedures, and registers.
- Maintain the ISO refresher training schedule and issue reminders to managers.
- Assist with gap analysis and preparation for future ISO accreditations.
- Prepare evidence packs for external audits and certification visits.
- Maintain the compliance calendar, including audit dates, renewals, and accreditation milestones.

Customer Complaint Management
You will:
- Act as the first point of contact for customer complaints.
- Maintain the company complaints register.
- Coordinate investigations by liaising with departments across the business.
- Monitor complaints through to resolution within agreed timescales.
- Draft customer acknowledgements and responses where appropriate.
- Escalate complex or sensitive cases to the Head of Compliance and Risk.
- Produce quarterly reports identifying complaint trends and opportunities for improvement.
General Compliance Support
You will also:
- Support the annual policy review programme.
- Monitor policy review dates and compliance deadlines.
- Provide administrative support across the Compliance and Risk function.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and compliance projects as required.
About You
We're looking for someone who is highly organised, enjoys working with processes, and has a keen eye for detail.
Essential Skills And Experience
- Previous administrative experience within Compliance, Quality, Health and Safety, Governance or a similar environment.
- Working knowledge of ISO management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or ISO 45001.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and SharePoint.
- Professional approach when dealing with customer complaints.
- Ability to work independently while contributing as part of a wider team.

Desirable
- Internal ISO Auditor qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
- Experience within manufacturing, logistics, automotive recycling, waste management, or another operational environment.
- Experience using compliance or HR systems such as Ceequel.
- An interest in developing a long-term career within Compliance, Governance, or Risk Management.
