OUR IMPACT

The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. is a leading global financial services firm providing investment banking, securities, and asset management services to a substantial and diversified client base that includes corporations, financial institutions, governments, and high-net-worth individuals. The firm is headquartered in New York and maintains offices in London, Dublin, Frankfurt, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and other major financial centers around the world.

Our division prevents, detects, and mitigates compliance, regulatory, and reputational risk across the firm and helps to strengthen the firm’s culture of compliance. Compliance accomplishes these through the firm’s enterprise-wide compliance risk management program. As an independent control function and part of the firm’s second line of defense, Compliance assesses the firm’s compliance, regulatory, and reputational risk; monitors for compliance with new or amended laws, rules, and regulations; designs and implements controls, policies, procedures, and training; conducts independent testing; investigates, surveils, and monitors for compliance risks and breaches; and leads the firm’s responses to regulatory examinations, audits, and inquiries. You'll be part of a team with members from a wide range of academic and professional backgrounds, such as law, accounting, sales, and trading. We look for those who possess sound judgment, curiosity, and are able to adapt to a changing regulatory landscape.

YOUR IMPACT

This is a role on the Asset Management Compliance team based in London. The successful candidate will provide Compliance advisory services covering sales and marketing activities within Goldman Sachs Asset Management (“GS AM”). The role will predominately involve reviewing marketing collateral to ensure conformity to financial promotion regulations and jurisdiction restrictions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
