Compliance Assistant
Our elite US law firm client is seeking an ambitious Compliance Assistant with a genuine passion for building a career within legal compliance. This opportunity will play a key role in supporting the firm in meeting its obligations under anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (AML/CTF) regulations and other economic crime legislation.
What’s On Offer:
- Salary to £45,000
- 09:30-17:30 working hours

Compliance Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:
- Maintain knowledge of the Firm’s AML/CTF policies, controls and procedures
- Support client due diligence (CDD) investigations and ongoing monitoring
- Conduct PEP, adverse media and sanctions screening, escalating red flags as appropriate
- Maintain and update CDD records
- Advise lawyers and assistants on AML compliance requirements
- Support the Compliance Unit intranet and internal audits, investigations and compliance reporting
- Provide general day-to-day support to the Compliance Team

Compliance Assistant – What We’re Looking For:
- 1-2 years’ experience in a similar compliance role, ideally within a law firm
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft 365
- An interest in using technology to enhance business processes
