Compliance Assurance Partner

Do you have experience in Compliance Assurance, Risk or Internal Audit within insurance, pensions, investments or another FCA regulated financial services environment? Join Aon's UK Risk & Compliance team and help strengthen governance, regulatory compliance and customer outcomes across a diverse range of businesses.

This is a hybrid role based in London, offering the flexibility to work both virtually and from the office, with a balance of home and office working.

What the day will look like

As part of the UK Risk & Compliance function, you will provide independent assurance over the effectiveness of systems and controls across Aon's regulated UK businesses. Working closely with Risk & Compliance Business Partners and senior stakeholders, you will assess regulatory and conduct risk frameworks, identify opportunities to strengthen controls and help support positive customer and client outcomes.

  • Deliver Compliance Assurance reviews across Aon's UK entities in line with the annual assurance plan.
  • Assess regulatory compliance and conduct risk controls, providing insight and constructive challenge to business stakeholders.
  • Lead assurance activity from planning and testing through to reporting, action tracking and follow-up.
  • Build trusted relationships with colleagues across Commercial Risk, Reinsurance, Health, Wealth & Talent.
  • Support the ongoing development of the Compliance Assurance Plan through business engagement and regulatory insight.

How this opportunity is different

This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple Aon Solution Lines, giving you broad exposure to a complex and highly regulated environment. You will partner with senior leaders across the organisation, providing independent assurance, practical insight and constructive challenge that helps strengthen business controls and regulatory outcomes.

In this role, you will gain visibility and influence across a diverse range of businesses, while being supported by a collaborative and highly respected UK Risk & Compliance team. Your work will directly contribute to protecting Aon's reputation, supporting strong governance and helping deliver positive customer and client outcomes.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Experience within Compliance Assurance, Compliance Monitoring, Risk, Internal Audit or a similar assurance-focused role within financial services.
  • Strong understanding of UK regulatory requirements and the ability to interpret and apply regulatory rules within a business environment.
  • Knowledge of general insurance, pensions and/or investments.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the credibility to engage and influence colleagues at all levels, including senior leadership.
  • Excellent analytical, project management, communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to deliver high-quality work to challenging deadlines.
