Hartford Care is looking for an experienced Compliance Audit Lead to join our team, helping us maintain the highest standards of care across our portfolio of homes.
In this role, you'll lead on internal compliance audits - covering care quality, safeguarding, medication management, health & safety, food safety, documentation and staffing - helping our homes stay inspection-ready and continuously improve the care we provide.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing and maintaining an audit schedule across our homes, including unannounced visits
- Using CQC Key Questions (KLOEs) and equivalent frameworks to guide audits and assessments
- Producing clear, evidence-based audit reports and presenting findings to management
- Tracking action plans through to completion
- Coaching and supporting Home Managers and staff on compliance standards
- Supporting homes in preparing for external inspections (CQC, Fire, Food Safety)
- Leading and mentoring any Compliance Audit team members

What We're Looking For
- Proven auditing experience in the care home sector
- In-depth knowledge of health and social care regulations, CQC Fundamental Standards and the Care Act
- A relevant professional management qualification (e.g. RMA/Diploma level 5+)
- Previous management/supervisory experience in a residential and/or nursing home
- Strong report writing, analytical and IT skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Excellent leadership, coaching and communication skills
- A flexible approach to working hours

Desirable
- Knowledge of the Person-Centred Software (PCS) care planning system
- Knowledge of CIW regulations and assessments
