Compliance & Audit Manager

Location: Dewsbury, West Yorkshire
Salary: £45,000–£55,000 depending on experience
Contract: Permanent, 36.5 hours per week (Office Based)

Jay-Be is growing — and we’re looking for an experienced Compliance & Audit Manager to strengthen our existing team. We’re a British manufacturer of folding beds, mattresses and sofa beds, supplying some of the UK’s leading retailers, global customers, and the hospitality and contract sectors. This is a hands-on role with real ownership. You’ll take responsibility for our manufacturing compliance programme, audit preparation and certification requirements, working across the factory and wider business to ensure we meet customer, regulatory and certification standards.

The role

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing our compliance and audit calendar, including retailer assessments, customer audits and internal audits
  • Maintaining our ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 27001 management systems
  • Managing FSC Chain of Custody, Zero to Landfill and ethical trade requirements
  • Owning product safety and testing programmes, including fire resistance testing
  • Ensuring products meet UK, EU and relevant international market requirements
  • Managing product technical files, risk assessments, declarations and certification
  • Managing UK packaging EPR and supporting environmental compliance
  • Maintaining clear compliance actions and ensuring issues are followed through to closure
  • Working closely with Operations, Quality, Purchasing, Product Development, Commercial and H&S
  • Providing practical advice and challenging the business where compliance or product safety could be compromised

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
