AML Control Point Conveyancer/Solicitor

This is the AML control point through which every matter passes at Homey's conveyancing operation. We're looking for a qualified conveyancer or solicitor to review and sign off client due diligence, source of funds and risk assessments prepared across our conveyancing brands, reporting into the Business Unit Manager and working closely with our Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP).

What You'll Do

  • Review and sign due diligence, ID verification and matter risk assessments on every new matter within our service standard.
  • Review and sign source of funds/source of wealth evidence before funds are accepted onto any matter.
  • Escalate red flags to the COLP the same day, with a clear recommendation.
  • Give returned files precise, actionable feedback on exactly what's missing — so the same gap isn't repeated.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What Excellence Looks Like

  • No matter proceeds past a control point without a signed check.
  • Returned files tell the conveyancer exactly what's missing — no back-and-forth needed.
  • Turnaround is fast enough that signing is never the reason a matter is delayed.

Requirements

  • Qualified conveyancer, solicitor or CILEx-qualified, with solid AML/CDD experience in residential conveyancing.
  • Working knowledge of the SRA Standards and Regulations and current AML/source-of-funds expectations.
  • Sharp eye for risk with the judgement to escalate the right things, not everything.
  • Comfort being the "no" in a fast-moving commercial environment when a check genuinely isn't satisfied.
