Location: London, UK (Hybrid - 4 days Onsite)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Business Analyst to join a dynamic team delivering strategic regulatory and compliance initiatives within a complex financial services environment. This role offers the opportunity to work across major transformation programmes, partnering with Compliance, Operations, and Technology stakeholders to deliver effective business solutions and enhance financial crime controls.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in business analysis within banking or consulting, coupled with hands-on experience in Financial crime domains such as AML, KYC, and Sanctions Screening.


Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements.
  • Produce high-quality project documentation including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, Target Operating Models (TOMs), and Technical Design Overviews.
  • Facilitate workshops and engage with stakeholders across business and technology functions.
  • Assess current-state processes, identify improvements, and support future-state design.
  • Support solution design, implementation, and delivery throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
  • Execute System Integration Testing (SIT) and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Track project progress, produce status reports, and manage risks and issues.
  • Perform data analysis and reconciliation activities to support business decision-making.
  • Collaborate with technical teams regarding system integrations, application upgrades, and infrastructure dependencies.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven Business Analysis experience within a leading financial services organisation or consultancy.
  • Strong Financial crime expertise, including:
    • Anti-Money Laundering (AML)
    • Know Your Customer (KYC)
    • Sanctions Screening
  • Experience working across the full project delivery lifecycle.
  • Strong requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation skills.
  • Experience in data analysis and reconciliation.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for analysing and querying data.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Experience

  • Knowledge of Capital Markets and Banking products, including Bonds, Derivatives, Securities Financing, FX, Loans, and Deposits.
  • Exposure to Front Office trading platforms such as Bloomberg, Murex, or Apex.
  • Experience supporting application upgrades, technical change initiatives, or regulatory transformation programmes.
