Compliance Business Partner (Consumer Credit) South Yorkshire | Hybrid (expected to reduce once established) Salary: £45,000–£50,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Compliance Business Partner to join a rapidly growing financial services business operating within the consumer credit market.

The business has experienced significant growth over the last few years and is continuing to expand, creating the need for an additional Compliance professional to join the team and support the business through its next stage of development.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who already has solid consumer credit compliance experience and is confident operating independently across a range of regulatory matters.

The Role

You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business, providing practical compliance support and helping ensure the firm's activities remain aligned with FCA requirements.

The role will have a particular focus on:

  • Consumer credit regulation and CONC
  • Horizon scanning and assessing the impact of regulatory developments
  • Reviewing and approving financial promotions and customer communications
  • Supporting the business with Consumer Duty and customer outcomes
  • Supporting compliance monitoring and outcome testing
  • Providing advice and guidance on regulatory requirements
  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures
  • Some involvement in AML / Financial Crime activity, although this is not the primary focus of the position
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the business to identify and address regulatory risks

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The successful candidate will be expected to bring relevant experience from day one, so this is not an opportunity for someone looking to move into Compliance without prior consumer credit experience.

  • Experience working within consumer credit / lending
  • Strong working knowledge of CONC

  • Good understanding of Consumer Duty
  • Experience supporting compliance monitoring and/or outcome testing

The Business & Working Environment

This is a particularly interesting time to join the organisation. Having grown from a small team to around 120 employees in just three years, the business is continuing to scale and has ambitious plans for further growth.

The role is based around South Yorkshire, with an initial expectation of 2 days per week in the Sheffield office while you get established and build relationships across the business. Once you're settled, the expectation is for this to become 1 day per week, potentially reducing further depending on the needs of the business.

Interested?

If you're an experienced Consumer Credit Compliance professional with strong CONC knowledge and experience around financial promotions, regulatory change and customer communications, I'd be keen to hear from you.
