As the nation’s leading pub, cider and beer company and the name behind a host of brilliant brands, we’re looking for equally brilliant people to help us on our journey to building a better future.
Did you know that HEINEKEN own over 2,400 pubs in the UK? We work closely with fantastic operators to run some of the best loved pubs across the country. Our Pub Company is called Star Pubs and we believe that a well-invested pub estate, run by innovative and experienced operators, keeps our pubs at the heart of their local community, where they bring people together from all walks of life.
There’s so much more to HEINEKEN than meets the eye and right now, we’re looking for a Compliance Coordinator to join our Star Pubs team!
Compliance is at the heart of what we do, but this role is about more than following processes. I’m looking for someone who will take ownership, build strong relationships and be confident in getting out there, understanding how things work and looking for ways we can do them better. Sound interesting? I’d love to hear from you. Melissa, Compliance Team Manager
About the Role
The Pubs Code is Star’s licence to operate; it underpins all that we do. Compliance is an essential part of Star’s culture, and this role is pivotal to establishing, implementing, and overseeing the high standards we set.
This is a key opportunity to join the Star Pubs Compliance team, reporting to the Compliance Team Manager. You’ll play an important role in supporting compliance with the relevant Pubs Code requirements across our regions, with responsibility for issuing and tracking Pub Packs, Guest Beer Agreements and managing MRO requests. This includes providing information to tenants and prospective tenants, under both England & Wales regulation and the Scottish Pubs Code.
You’ll work closely with a wide range of stakeholders, including our field-based, Real Estate, Pub Operations and Licensee Attraction colleagues, proactively managing internal and external SLAs, monitoring progress and identifying opportunities to improve our processes and ways of working.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
