Morson Edge: Compliance Consultant
Morson Edge are leading and exclusive search to identify a Compliance Consultant on a day rate basis focussed on the Business & Wholesale Services function that manages the trading of assets and customer portfolios.
As a Compliance Consultant you will support the Market Risk & Compliance team in managing compliance risks across the business. You will develop and implement trading controls, governance, policies, monitoring and surveillance, reporting, and training, while providing compliance advice to the wider business.

This would be on a 4 month contract, London based with circa 2 days in the office.
What you’ll be doing
- Develop and enhance the compliance framework, policies, controls, and monitoring processes.
- Conduct compliance risk assessments and lead the annual assessment.
- Undertake monitoring, surveillance, analysis, and reporting.
- Provide advice on wholesale compliance matters and regulatory requirements.
- Support regulatory enquiries, investigations, and operational incidents.
- Work with process owners and business change teams to identify and manage compliance risks.
- Build effective relationships with stakeholders across the business.

What we’re looking for
- Strong knowledge of UK wholesale energy markets and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Experience in compliance, trading, risk, or a related analytical role.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands.
