The Vacancy

Join Nottingham Community Housing Association as a Compliance Contracts Officer and help keep homes safe and compliant for our customers and communities.

At Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA), we're committed to providing safe, high-quality homes and services for the people we support. Behind every compliant building, every completed inspection and every successful safety programme is a team of dedicated professionals working to protect our customers and meet our regulatory responsibilities.

We're now looking for a Compliance Contracts Officer to join our Property Services team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in compliance, fire safety, building safety or contract management who wants to play a key role in helping us maintain safe, compliant homes across our diverse property portfolio.

As part of our Development and Assets Directorate, you'll work alongside colleagues, contractors and service providers to oversee critical compliance programmes, ensuring we continue to meet our statutory and regulatory obligations.

Interviews will be held on 30th October 2026 at our Clifton Office, Nottingham.

About The Role

Working closely with the Compliance Contracts Manager, you'll support the delivery and monitoring of a range of landlord compliance programmes and contracts across NCHA's housing stock.

In This Varied And Important Role, You'll

  • Support the delivery of fire safety contracts, including Fire Risk Assessments and Fire Door Inspection programmes
  • Monitor landlord compliance activity and identify potential areas of non-compliance
  • Ensure compliance-related works are completed in line with statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Complete reports, records and administrative processes to support compliance monitoring and performance reporting
  • Assist with the procurement and mobilisation of compliance contracts and services
  • Monitor contractor performance and support contract management activities
  • Track and report on contract KPIs, taking action where standards fall below expectations
  • Carry out pre, post and monitored inspections of compliance-related work completed by contractors and in-house teams
  • Support refurbishment, maintenance and repair projects within relevant buildings

This is a highly collaborative role where you'll work with colleagues across Property Services as well as external contractors to ensure our homes remain safe, well maintained and compliant.

About You

We're looking for a proactive and organised individual who is passionate about maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.

To Be Successful, You'll Bring

  • Experience of working within a compliance, property maintenance, building safety or housing environment
  • Knowledge of fire safety compliance and an understanding of wider compliance areas including asbestos, water safety and lift safety
  • Experience of supporting or managing contractors and service providers
  • Experience of planning and delivering programmes of work to agreed timescales and budgets
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to monitor, analyse and report on performance information
  • Experience of procurement or contract administration would be advantageous
  • Good IT skills and experience of maintaining accurate records and systems
  • A commitment to delivering excellent customer outcomes and embodying NCHA's CLEAR values
  • A recognised fire safety qualification, such as the NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate, or a willingness to work towards one, would be beneficial
  • A full driving licence is required as travel to sites, meetings and inspections will form part of the role.
