The role

We are seeking a hands-on Compliance Design Lead to redesign and modernise compliance services across accounting and tax. This role will function as a Lean Six Sigma practitioner who designs and delivers innovative technology-enabled solutions to create a scalable and efficient operating model. This includes horizon scanning for emerging tech (AI, automation, etc.) and shaping practical solutions that align with AUK strategy and regulatory standards.

Key accountabilities

  • Operating Model Implementation: Design and deploy an optimised compliance delivery model, establishing scalable processes and implementing tech-enabled solutions.
  • Technology Deployment & Integration: Research, test, and implement emerging technologies (AI, automation, cloud) to directly modernise compliance service delivery.
  • Process Re-engineering Execution: Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to redesign workflows, eliminate inefficiencies, and implement improved compliance processes.
  • Technology Integration: Work with IT and data teams to shape an integrated technology roadmap to support transformed compliance processes.
  • Solution Implementation: Convert process improvements into working systems, tools, and operational procedures.
  • Operational Delivery: Partner with the Compliance Discovery Lead to implement redesigned solutions based on current operations analysis and business requirements.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record of implementing process improvements in accounting, tax, or professional services environments.
  • Hands-on experience designing and deploying scalable, tech-enabled service delivery models.
  • Direct experience implementing compliance technologies with demonstrated ability to execute technology rollouts.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification with practical experience leading implementation projects and delivering measurable results.
  • Demonstrated ability to configure, integrate, and deploy technology solutions that meet business and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong project management and execution skills with ability to drive implementation through to completion.
  • Experience managing complex implementation programmes and delivering operational change in professional services.
