About the Role
Due to continued growth and international success, we are seeking a Compliance Engineer to join our team. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the compliance of raw materials, purchased components and finished products through robust testing programmes, technical analysis and adherence to relevant legislation and industry standards.
As our compliance specialist, you will act as a trusted internal advisor on regulatory requirements, helping to maintain product quality, integrity and performance. Working collaboratively with operational teams and supporting customer-facing functions, you will provide technical expertise to colleagues across Technical Support, Marketing and Sales, as well as delivering accurate guidance to customers and end users.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, coordinate and interpret routine testing programmes for raw materials and finished products, working closely with accredited third-party laboratories.
- Ensure testing methodologies and standards remain aligned with current legislation, industry best practice and customer requirements.
- Provide technical advice, written reports and compliance guidance to customer support teams and external customers.
- Research, develop and enhance testing methods to meet evolving product, market and customer specifications, including international requirements.
- Monitor and maintain knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory developments to ensure ongoing product compliance.
- Act as a technical expert, identifying opportunities for improvement and supporting effective problem-solving across manufacturing processes.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment and operating methods, contributing to process optimisation and new equipment selection.
- Support new product development and introduction by defining, validating and implementing process capabilities required for successful manufacture.

About You
- Strong technical mindset, keen eye for detail and effective communication skills.
- Comfortable influencing stakeholders at all levels and balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience in performance testing and good understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical, numerical and data interpretation skills.
- Effective problem solver with the ability to apply structured methodologies to identify root causes and deliver practical solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships, influence decision-making and convey technical information clearly to a variety of audiences.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Proactive and self-motivated approach, with the confidence to work independently while contributing positively as part of a wider team.
