Job Title: Compliance Executive

Location: London office based
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: Up to £60,000

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Executive with strong paralegal-level or junior solicitor-level expertise to join our team. The successful candidate will support our legal and compliance functions, helping to ensure the organisation meets all relevant regulatory, legal and policy obligations. The role requires a degree of autonomy and the successful candidate will be very much engaged in setting up and monitoring processes and procedures to ensure all periodic regulatory and compliance actions are settled within applicable timeframes.

This role is ideal for a candidate who has completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) or equivalent and is eager to apply their legal training within a compliance-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the drafting, review and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures, registers and documentation.
  • Support internal investigations, audits and regulatory reporting activities.
  • Prepare and review internal policies, risk assessments and other documents.
  • Assist in the submission of regulatory filings in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Maintain well-organised compliance files, records and databases.
  • Maintain and action a compliance calendar.
  • Maintain and action a committee calendar.
  • Assist in responding to compliance-related queries.
  • Liaise with clients when required.
  • Assist in all compliance matters as required.

  • LPC (Legal Practice Course) or equivalent qualification.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in a compliance, regulatory or paralegal role.
  • Excellent legal research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with professionalism and discretion.
