This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys turning data into meaningful insight and wants to influence real business decisions. You'll work with a supportive network of stakeholders across the business, providing analysis and assurance that helps drive investment decisions, improve governance, and ensure we meet our regulatory commitments.

Whether you're already working within the water sector or bring transferable experience from another regulated environment, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing as a Compliance Investment Analyst

  • Deliver high-quality analysis and insight from complex performance and compliance data.
  • Provide evidence-based recommendations that support business and investment decisions.
  • Identify trends, risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement across key programmes.
  • Develop scenario modelling and "what if" analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Produce impactful reports and dashboards for senior leaders.
  • Support regulatory submissions, business cases, and performance reporting with robust analytical evidence.
  • Monitor compliance risks and emerging issues, ensuring they are clearly understood and appropriately escalated.
  • Collaborate with Sponsorship, Delivery, and PMO teams to improve transparency and governance.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance reporting, processes, and decision-making.

This is a hybrid role with an expectation to:

  • Attend our Clearwater Court, Reading office 3 days a week

We're looking for you to:

  • Experience using data and insight to support decision-making in a regulated, compliance-focused, or performance-driven environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to turn complex information into clear recommendations.
  • Confidence in building relationships and working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Experience presenting findings and influencing decisions through evidence-based insight.
  • Strong Excel and reporting skills, with experience analysing large datasets.
  • Experience using Power BI or similar data visualisation tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive mindset with a curiosity to challenge, improve, and innovate.
  • Experience working within the water sector, environmental regulation, infrastructure, utilities, or another regulated industry.
  • A degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
