Interim Compliance Manager – Social Housing – Greater Manchester – Inside IR35
Venn Group are recruiting for an experienced Interim Compliance Manager to join a Social Housing organisation in Greater Manchester. This Interim Compliance Manager role is available on an interim basis, with a negotiable day rate depending on experience and the assignment falling inside IR35.
This Compliance Manager opportunity is ideal for someone with strong Social Housing compliance experience who can step into a well performing service, maintain high standards, support specialist teams and continue driving improvement across landlord compliance.

The role
As Interim Compliance Manager, you will lead a specialist compliance team covering M&E, asbestos, legionella and electrical compliance. The Compliance Manager will oversee Technical Officers and specialist managers, ensuring statutory compliance activity remains on track and contracts are effectively managed.

This is not a heavily operational role. The successful Interim Compliance Manager will provide leadership, direction, challenge and assurance, while keeping services performing well and identifying improvements where required, particularly around EICR no access issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a compliance team covering M&E, asbestos, legionella and electrical compliance
- Manage Technical Officers and specialist compliance leads across key workstreams
- Oversee landlord compliance performance across Social Housing stock
- Maintain strong compliance performance and ensure statutory duties are met
- Manage budgets connected to compliance contracts and service delivery
- Oversee a large contract portfolio, with 50 plus contracts within remit
- Review performance data and use insight to drive service improvement
- Support improvements around EICR no access and electrical compliance processes
- Ensure compliance documentation, certification and reporting remain accurate and audit ready
- Provide clear reporting and assurance to senior stakeholders
- Lead by example, setting standards across the compliance service

About you
- Social Housing experience is essential and non negotiable
- Experience working as a Compliance Manager, Head of Compliance or senior landlord compliance lead
- Strong understanding of landlord compliance across M&E, electrical, asbestos and legionella
- Experience managing specialist compliance teams or Technical Officers
- Strong contract management experience across multiple compliance contracts
- Budget management experience within a property compliance setting
- Confident using compliance data to monitor performance and identify risk
- Able to influence, challenge and lead in a high performing service environment
- Available to start within 4 weeks
