Role Description
The Compliance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Whitstable, responsible for implementing, overseeing, and maintaining regulatory, quality, and safety compliance across Woodfield Systems Ltd UK operations. Day-to-day tasks include:
- Developing and updating compliance policies and procedures
- Monitoring adherence to ISO and other relevant standards
- Conducting internal audits and risk assessments
- Managing client registration and supplier approval processes
The role involves collaborating with engineering, project management, and operations teams to ensure that products, services, and processes meet legal, regulatory, and customer requirements. The Compliance Manager will:
- Prepare compliance reports
- Support external audits
- Coordinate corrective and preventive actions
- Deliver compliance-related training and guidance to colleagues
This position also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, helping to strengthen governance, reduce risk, and maintain high standards of quality and safety across the business.
Qualifications

- Experience with compliance management, including developing policies, conducting internal audits, handling customer registration processes, managing supplier approval processes, and managing corrective and preventive actions.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and occupational health and safety standards, preferably within an engineering, manufacturing, or oil and gas environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret regulations, assess risks, and recommend practical solutions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to provide training, influence stakeholders, and prepare clear reports and documentation.
- Organizational and project management abilities to coordinate audits, compliance initiatives, and cross-functional improvement projects.
- Proficiency with common business software tools (e.g., MS Office) and familiarity with document control or quality management systems.
- Relevant professional qualification in engineering, quality management, or a related discipline is beneficial.
- Prior experience in compliance, quality assurance, or safety management within a regulated industry is an advantage.
