Sapien is looking for a Compliance, Data & Sustainability Manager to take ownership of quality, compliance, health & safety, sustainability, and product data across the business.

This is a broad role for someone who enjoys improving processes, managing data, maintaining compliance, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems and support internal/external audits.
  • Lead quality, health & safety, and environmental improvement activities.
  • Manage product compliance, including CE, UKCA, and California Proposition 65 (Prop 65).
  • Own and maintain the PIM/product data systems, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
  • Manage product, technical, and regulatory data across PIM, ERP, and other business systems.
  • Develop KPIs, reports, and dashboards to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Lead continuous improvement and Lean initiatives across the business.
  • Investigate quality issues, incidents, and root causes and ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Monitor changes to legislation and ensure the business remains compliant.
  • Work closely with Technical, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Operations, and Supply Chain.
  • Support sustainability initiatives, including waste, energy, and carbon reduction.
  • Manage supplier compliance and support supplier audits where required.

Experience Needed

  • Experience in quality, compliance, technical, manufacturing, sustainability, or product data.
  • Strong experience with ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
  • Experience with ISO 14001, health & safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Knowledge of product compliance and regulatory requirements, ideally CE/UKCA and Prop 65.
  • Experience managing large volumes of product or technical data with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with ERP, PIM, or product master data systems.
  • Strong understanding of KPIs, data analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • Practical experience with Lean/process improvement.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across different departments.
  • Good project and change management skills.

Desirable

  • SYSPRO or similar ERP experience.
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.
  • ISO 14001 experience/qualification.
  • Experience with sustainability, ESG, or carbon reduction.
  • Supplier auditing experience.
  • Experience with digital transformation or improving business systems.
  • PROP 65 Exposure.

Hours & Working Pattern

  • 4 days per week in the office in Leamington Spa.
  • 36.5 hours per week.
  • Very flexible working hours, with flexible start and finish times.
  • As long as you complete your 36.5 hours each week, there is flexibility around when you start and finish your working day.
