Compliance Manager (Regulatory, Product & Trade)
Location: Unit 4–7, West Point Business Park, Westmead, Aylesford, ME20 6XJ
Reports to: Chief Legal People Risk Officer
Job Category: Compliance
Minimum Experience: 5+ years’ relevant experience
Purpose of the Role: We are looking to hire a Compliance Manager to oversee and strengthen compliance, risk management, and internal controls across 501 Entertainment Ltd (“501”). This role sits at the intersection of Legal, Supply Chain, Operations, and Product, with responsibility for ensuring the business operates in line with all applicable global legal, regulatory, and internal requirements.
The successful candidate will translate regulatory obligations into practical operational processes, while also developing and maintaining a robust compliance framework, supporting internal audits, identifying risks, and ensuring the business is audit-ready as it scales.
This is a hands-on, cross-functional role suited to someone who can build frameworks, not just follow them, and who is comfortable challenging processes and stakeholders where needed. We are looking for a detail-oriented but pragmatic compliance specialist, who feels comfortable operating in an ambiguous setting, scaling the function as we grow.
Product and regulatory compliance:
- Own and coordinate go-to-market compliance for hardware and related products across relevant jurisdictions.
- Manage documentation relating to CE, UKCA and other applicable conformity requirements across the world from start to finish.
- Review product labelling, warnings, instructions, traceability information, and technical documentation for completeness and consistency.
- Lead on declarations of conformity and other compliance documents from start to finish.
- Driving compliance by working with internal teams and external testing/certification partners to track product compliance requirements and approvals.
- Monitor changes in applicable product, safety and environmental regulations and assess impact on the business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
