MMP Consultancy is recruiting on behalf of a leading social housing contractor for an experienced Compliance Manager (Electrical & Gas) to join their team in South West London.
Working closely with senior leadership teams, client representatives, and specialist contractors, you will take ownership of the delivery and performance of electrical and gas compliance services across a large housing contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a compliance professional with a strong background in social housing to drive operational excellence, strengthen governance, and ensure statutory obligations are consistently achieved.
Location: South West London
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the operational management of electrical and gas compliance activities across the contract.
- Review, develop, and strengthen compliance governance processes and controls.
- Monitor contractor performance against agreed KPIs and service level standards.
- Manage key subcontractor relationships, ensuring accountability for performance and compliance.
- Ensure all statutory and regulatory compliance requirements are achieved and maintained.
- Review reporting processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Drive consistency across management information and compliance reporting frameworks.
- Analyse performance data and provide recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Conduct audits and reviews of compliance processes, systems, and contractor outputs.
- Identify compliance risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the compliance function.
- Work collaboratively with clients and operational teams to ensure service delivery objectives are met.

About You
- Proven experience managing electrical and gas compliance programmes.
- Previous experience within a social housing, housing association, local authority, or contractor environment.
- Detailed knowledge of statutory compliance requirements relating to residential housing assets.
- Experience managing contractors and monitoring performance against KPIs.
- Strong governance, auditing, and compliance monitoring expertise.
- A track record of reviewing operational processes and driving service improvements.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
- The ability to quickly assess existing operations and identify opportunities for enhanced performance.
- A proactive approach with a commitment to compliance excellence and continuous improvement.
