A leading London market insurer is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to join its high-performing Legal & Compliance function. This is a broad, hands-on role offering significant exposure to conduct risk, governance, regulatory reporting, compliance monitoring, and regulatory change.

Working closely with the Head of Compliance, you will act as a trusted adviser to the business, providing pragmatic, risk-based guidance and challenge across a range of compliance activities.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the conduct risk framework, including Consumer Duty, product governance, product value assessments, and vulnerable customer considerations
  • Delivering compliance reporting to executive and governance committees, highlighting key risks, trends, and recommended actions
  • Preparing Board and Committee papers on regulatory and compliance matters
  • Overseeing complaints management and using trend analysis to drive improvements in customer outcomes
  • Leading thematic reviews and compliance monitoring activity across the business
  • Reviewing and enhancing compliance policies, procedures, and controls
  • Managing key regulatory reporting requirements to regulators and group stakeholders
  • Assessing regulatory developments and supporting implementation across the organisation
  • Providing oversight and approval of financial promotions
  • Acting as a trusted compliance partner to underwriters and senior stakeholders

  • 5+ years' compliance experience gained within Insurance (ideally Lloyds Market)
  • Strong knowledge of the UK regulatory landscape, including FCA and PRA requirements
  • Experience interpreting and implementing regulatory change
  • Experience producing high-quality management, committee, and Board reporting
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to provide constructive challenge
