Compliance Manager

Job Details

Location: Brackmills, Northampton
Department: Contract Logistics

About the Role

DSV is currently looking for a Compliance Manager to oversee the quality assurance and control processes related to the storage and distribution of healthcare products. This role ensures compliance with British Retail Consortium Global Standards (BRCGS) and maintains high standards of product safety, integrity, and regulatory adherence throughout the supply chain.

The Quality Manager will lead quality improvement initiatives, manage compliance with regulatory requirements, and drive continuous improvement in operations.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance and Control

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS).
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of warehousing and logistics operations to ensure compliance.
  • Oversee the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for non-compliances and deviations.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, BRCGS standards, and other relevant industry standards.
  • Liaise with LH & RP regarding regulatory bodies and prepare for inspections and audits.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and industry best practices.

Quality Improvement Initiatives

  • Lead quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and product safety.
  • Analyze data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve quality outcomes.

  • Manage quality documentation, including policies, procedures, manuals, and records related to logistics and warehousing.
  • Prepare and present quality reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of quality performance indicators.

Training and Development

  • Develop and deliver training programs on quality management to warehousing and logistics staff.
  • Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the organization.
  • Provide guidance and support to teams on quality-related issues.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of quality objectives with organizational goals.
  • Engage with suppliers, transporters, and other partners to ensure quality standards are met throughout the supply chain.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners to ensure compliance and quality assurance.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, BRCGS standards, and quality improvement methodologies.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality management role within the logistics or warehousing industry.
  • Certification in Quality Management (e.g., CPHQ, Six Sigma, Lean).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
  • Previous experience of delivering training sessions.
  • Previous experience working with ISO Standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).
  • UK Full Driving License.
