I'm pleased to be supporting a well-established insurance organisation that is seeking a Compliance Manager to join its Risk & Compliance function in London. This is a leadership role within a high-performing team, offering the opportunity to take ownership of key compliance activities, drive regulatory initiatives, and contribute to the ongoing development of the firm's compliance framework. You will also be responsible for managing and developing a team of two compliance professionals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and embedding the firm's Conduct Risk and Consumer Duty framework, ensuring regulatory expectations are met across the business
  • Managing, mentoring, and developing a team of two Compliance Analysts, overseeing workload allocation and supporting professional development
  • Preparing and presenting compliance reports, MI, and regulatory updates to senior management, Executive Committees, and Boards
  • Providing expert advice to the business on FCA, PRA, and Lloyd's regulatory requirements and associated compliance risks
  • Leading the assessment and implementation of regulatory change, working closely with key stakeholders across the organisation
  • Overseeing compliance monitoring activities across financial crime, licensing, underwriting controls, and broader regulatory obligations
  • Managing FCA and Lloyd's regulatory reporting requirements, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
  • Reviewing, enhancing, and maintaining compliance policies, procedures, and controls, promoting a strong culture of compliance across the business

  • Strong knowledge of FCA, PRA, and Lloyd's regulatory requirements within the insurance market
  • Proven experience interpreting, implementing, and overseeing regulatory change initiatives
  • Previous people management experience, or demonstrable experience mentoring and developing junior team members
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation
  • Strong report writing and analytical capabilities
  • Confidence presenting compliance matters and regulatory developments to senior management and Board-level stakeholders
