Why this role matters

We’re looking for a Compliance & Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) to join our UK office and play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of compliance across our fast-growing B2B business. You’ll be joining a friendly team where you’ll have real ownership, collaborate closely with colleagues, and help shape our compliance framework as we continue to grow.

What you'll actually do

  • Draft and revise policies and procedures and prepare reports;
  • Audit existing processes, identify weaknesses and suggest corrective actions;
  • Evaluate new business ideas, products, services, and assess risks
  • Review regulatory requirements, assess impact on operations and update monitoring program;
  • Ensure on-going compliance and collaborate with relevant parties to meet reporting obligations;
  • Maintain up to date compliance records (e.g. documents, logs, correspondence, reports, etc.);
  • Investigate new licensing opportunities and assist in the preparation of new applications;
  • Keep abreast of internal procedures and global CFDs regulatory developments;
  • Address employees questions and advice on compliance matters;
  • Lead compliance projects and supervise team members;
  • Oversee and approve on-boarding of new clients
  • Monitor communications with customers and review marketing material (ad-hoc);
  • Review, investigate and assist with the resolution of client complaints (ad-hoc);
  • Perform any other assigned compliance-related task;
  • Fulfill the UK MLRO and Compliance officer functions (SMF16 & SMF17)
  • Prepare and submit relevant FCA reports;
  • Be the point of contact with the FCA

Who We’re Looking For

  • University degree or similar;
  • 3+ years experience holding the SM16 & SMF 17 control functions, within the CFDs/Forex industry- candidates with only AML compliance experience will not be considered;
  • Relevant professional certification is a plus;
  • Excellent communication (verbal and non verbal), business acumen, organizational, presentation and problem-solving skills;
  • Fluent in English language (verbal & written), any additional language may be considered a plus;
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
  • Able to work on own initiative, independently, prioritize workload and pay attention to details;
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of UK regulatory framework and FCA principles.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of MiFId regulatory framework and reporting requirements
  • Risk Management experience will be considered as an advantage
  • Extensive knowledge of CASS 7 Client Money rules
