Compliance Monitoring Manager | Lloyd’s Insurance Market

An exciting opportunity for a Compliance Monitoring Manager to join a well-established Lloyd’s Managing Agent and play a key role within its second-line Compliance function.

This is a hands-on role for an experienced Compliance Monitoring specialist who understands the complexities of the Lloyd’s and wider London Insurance Market and can provide robust, risk-based oversight across the business.

Duties

  • Developing and delivering a risk-based Compliance Monitoring Plan.
  • Leading thematic and regulatory compliance reviews across the business.
  • Scoping reviews, identifying key risks and controls, gathering evidence and assessing findings.
  • Producing high-quality monitoring reports and presenting findings to senior management and relevant governance committees.
  • Providing constructive challenge and agreeing appropriate remediation actions.
  • Tracking findings and ensuring agreed actions are delivered within appropriate timescales.
  • Keeping up to date with FCA, PRA and Lloyd’s regulatory developments and incorporating these into the monitoring programme.
  • Supporting the continued development of the wider Compliance framework and contributing to a strong risk and compliance culture.

  • 5+ years' Compliance experience, with a significant proportion focused on Compliance Monitoring.
  • Strong knowledge of the Lloyd’s and UK insurance regulatory environment.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering risk-based monitoring reviews.
  • The confidence to challenge senior stakeholders and communicate difficult findings constructively.
  • Strong report writing, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
  • A pragmatic approach, with the ability to understand the commercial environment while maintaining appropriate second-line independence.
