A leading international financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Compliance Monitoring & Testing professional to join its London-based Compliance team on an interim basis.

This is a hands-on opportunity to play a key role in delivering an established Compliance Monitoring Programme while contributing to the future direction of the firm's monitoring and testing framework. Working within a lean, high-performing team, you will have significant exposure to senior stakeholders and the chance to influence best practice across the function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver compliance monitoring reviews and testing activities across a range of business areas.
  • Execute monitoring assignments from planning through to reporting.
  • Partner with Compliance and business stakeholders to identify key regulatory and conduct risks.
  • Contribute to the development of the firm's future Compliance Monitoring Plan.
  • Assess the effectiveness of existing monitoring arrangements and recommend enhancements.
  • Support the expansion of monitoring coverage across key risk areas.
  • Produce clear, concise reports, findings and practical recommendations.
  • Bring external market insight and industry best practice to support ongoing programme development.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience within Compliance Monitoring, Compliance Testing or Compliance Assurance in a financial services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory risk management and compliance frameworks.
  • The ability to independently deliver monitoring reviews end-to-end.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach, with the ability to balance regulatory expectations and commercial realities.
  • Experience within investment banking, capital markets or broader financial services environments would be highly advantageous.
