Compliance Officer

Elevation Recruitment Group is managing the recruitment process for a well-established organisation based in Rotherham. We are looking for a proactive and detail-focused Compliance Officer to join the team and support the business in maintaining high standards of regulatory and operational compliance.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in compliance, audit, risk, legal, or another regulated environment to develop their career within a supportive and growing business.
You will play an important role in ensuring policies, procedures, and processes are followed, maintained, and continuously improved.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out regular compliance checks, audits, and file reviews
- Identifying, investigating, and reporting compliance issues or breaches
- Supporting due diligence and external compliance reviews
- Monitoring relevant legislation, FCA requirements, and Consumer Duty
- Keeping up to date with regulatory changes and communicating updates
- Reviewing and maintaining company policies and procedures
- Identifying and recommending process improvements
- Supporting complaints and compliance investigations
- Maintaining accurate compliance and training records
- Preparing compliance reports for management
- Supporting compliance training and awareness
- Working closely with HR, Operations, and Senior Management
- Supporting ad-hoc compliance projects and regulatory requirements

Requirements
We are looking for someone who is organized, proactive, and has excellent attention to detail.
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous experience in compliance, audit, risk, legal, or a regulated environment
- Experience within financial services, insurance, claims management, or a similar industry
- Knowledge of FCA regulations and Consumer Duty
- Experience carrying out audits, file reviews, or compliance monitoring
- Experience maintaining policies, procedures, and compliance records
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
