Compliance Professional

A leading global hedge fund is looking for a sharp, commercially minded compliance professional to join its London team, reporting directly to the Chief Compliance Officer.

This is a broad, hands-on role in a lean, high-calibre team. You will own compliance projects, lead regulatory change from horizon scanning through to implementation, and help shape how the firm governs and uses AI. It suits someone who spots what's broken, brings solutions as well as problems, and wants to build rather than maintain.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What you'll do

  • Lead regulatory change end to end. Scan the horizon, interpret new regulation, assess its impact on the firm, and design and deliver the implementation plan.
  • Run the compliance function's special projects, working across the business with exposure to trading, operations, technology and senior management.
  • Help build and embed the firm's AI governance framework, covering policy, risk assessment, oversight of AI use cases, and alignment with emerging regulation such as the EU AI Act.
  • Drive process improvement across the compliance programme, including using AI and automation to make the function more efficient.
  • Contribute to core compliance coverage: personal account dealing, gifts and entertainment, training, licensing and registrations, SMCR, and financial crime and MLRO reporting.
  • Prepare board and committee materials and contribute to regulatory reporting.
