Build Your Career with a Growing International Engineering Business
Centum Engineering is continuing to grow at pace, delivering major engineering projects across Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe.
As our European operations expand, so does the team behind our people. We are now looking for a Compliance Officer to join our Global Mobility team and play an important role in supporting employees working across our international projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in compliance, HR, global mobility, immigration, administration or a similar regulated environment who wants to develop their career within a growing international organisation.
Working closely with our Global Mobility Manager, HR and Tax teams, you will help ensure our employees have the correct documentation, visas, work permits and compliance requirements in place to work successfully across our European operations.
The Role
As Compliance Officer, you will take responsibility for the accurate and timely management of global mobility and employee compliance processes.
A key part of the position will be managing visa, immigration and work permit applications from start to finish, while maintaining accurate records and providing employees and internal stakeholders with clear updates throughout the process.
You will also support the ongoing development of Centum's compliance procedures and help ensure our systems and records remain accurate, current and audit-ready.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing visa, immigration and work permit applications from preparation through to submission, tracking and completion.
- Ensuring employee immigration and compliance documentation is accurate, valid and in line with relevant legislation.
- Acting as a key point of contact for employees throughout visa and immigration processes.
- Monitoring application deadlines, document expiry dates and compliance requirements.
- Maintaining accurate Global Mobility and compliance records.
- Reviewing documentation and identifying missing or incorrect information before applications progress.
- Updating employee and compliance information accurately within BambooHR and Centum's internal systems.
- Ensuring Global Mobility dashboards contain accurate and up-to-date information.
- Supporting internal compliance audits and maintaining audit-ready documentation.
- Working closely with the Global Mobility Manager, European Tax Specialist and HR team.
- Liaising with employees, external partners and relevant authorities where required.
- Preparing regular updates and reports on applications and compliance activity.
- Identifying potential compliance risks and escalating these appropriately.
- Supporting improvements to existing compliance processes, controls and procedures.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
