About The Role

The Royal Borough of Greenwich is seeking to appoint a proactive and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our Corporate Compliance Team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and motivated individual to play a key role in supporting statutory property compliance across the Council’s corporate and schools’ estate.

As Compliance Officer, you will help coordinate, verify and monitor property compliance and asset data within the Concerto asset management system. Working closely with internal teams, consultants and contractors, you will ensure that compliance records, certification, survey reports and supporting documentation are accurate, complete and maintained to a high standard.

This is a key role in supporting compliance assurance across areas such as water hygiene, asbestos and wider property-related statutory compliance. You will assist with monitoring risk assessments and survey reports, tracking remedial actions, supporting programme delivery, producing compliance performance reports, and helping to ensure that property compliance information is robust, auditable and up to date.

The role will suit someone with strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage information across multiple workstreams. You will be confident liaising with stakeholders, able to prioritise workload effectively, and comfortable working with data, systems and compliance documentation.

Working Arrangements

This role is categorised as an Anywhere worker: duties can be undertaken in a variety of locations, including hotdesking in the office for collaborative working. This role requires a minimum of two days working in the office each week; the remaining days can be worked remotely.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
