Compliance Monitoring Officer

Vercity is seeking a Compliance Monitoring Officer to support the delivery of our compliance monitoring regime across a portfolio of hospital maintenance & facilities contracts in Mansfield & Newark. You will be reporting to the General Manager and part of an experienced and friendly team. This a varied, hands-on role focused on ensuring statutory and contractual compliance, identifying risks, and providing assurance that service providers are meeting their obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor compliance with Project Agreement obligations and associated contract requirements.
  • Review statutory and contractual compliance evidence through desktop assessments and site-based inspections.
  • Maintain accurate compliance records and monitoring documentation.
  • Identify, investigate, and escalate instances of non-compliance or insufficient evidence of compliance.
  • Liaise with service providers and stakeholders to resolve compliance queries and obtain supporting evidence.
  • Identify trends and emerging risks, escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Produce clear and concise compliance and performance reports for management and board-level reporting.
  • Support continuous improvement in compliance monitoring processes.

About You

  • Knowledge of FM statutory and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review evidence and identify key issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • An understanding of risk management principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of quality, environmental, health and safety standards.
