About The Role

This full-time Compliance Remediation Analyst position in Reading offers up to £55,000 annually. Working alongside the Compliance Remediation Manager, the postholder ensures Thames Water satisfies regulatory duties owed to the Environment Agency, Drinking Water Inspectorate, Ofwat, and CCW. Duties include coordinating remediation work, drawing on regulatory expertise, operational information, assurance, and project delivery abilities. The analyst provides clear oversight of progress, manages change, and supports sustainable outcomes. There is also scope to assist wider team workstreams, live investigations, and emerging priorities. Applicants should demonstrate strong analytical skills, stakeholder management, and a solid grasp of compliance requirements within the utilities sector.

We’re looking for a Compliance Remediation professional to help ensure Thames Water meets its regulatory commitments across the Environment Agency (EA), Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI), Ofwat, and other regulators, including CCW.

Working closely with the Compliance Remediation Manager, you’ll bring together regulatory knowledge, operational data, assurance, and project delivery skills to coordinate remediation activity and strengthen internal and external reporting. You’ll play a key role in providing clear oversight of progress, managing change, and supporting the delivery of effective, sustainable remediation.

The role also offers the opportunity to contribute across wider team workstreams, supporting live investigations and emerging priorities as required.

What you’ll be doing as a Compliance Remediation Analyst

  • Support the delivery of related compliance remediation activity, ensuring actions are aligned to regulatory undertakings, enforcement requirements, and agreed improvement plans.
  • Map regulatory requirements to specific remediation actions, projects, and operational activity, maintaining clear traceability between obligations and delivery.
  • Collect, validate, and analyze operational and programme data to support reporting, assurance activity, and evidence-based updates on delivery progress.
  • Maintain trackers, logs, and change control records to ensure remediation activity, decisions, risks, and dependencies are accurately recorded and monitored.
  • Prepare regular reports, summaries, and briefing material for internal governance forums, assurance processes, and agreed regulatory submissions.
  • Work with operational teams across relevant front-line business units to gather information, track actions, and support timely delivery of remediation commitments.
  • Liaise with PMO, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and assurance teams to ensure information is consistent, complete, and suitable for reporting and review.
  • Support responses to regulatory information requests, audits, and assurance reviews by coordinating inputs, checking evidence, and maintaining audit trails.
  • Identify emerging compliance risks, issues, and delivery impacts, escalating concerns appropriately and supporting updates to remediation plans where needed.
  • Attend relevant compliance, programme, and governance meetings, contributing analysis and follow-up actions to support effective oversight of remediation delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
