Package Description
Starting salary for this role is £62,112 (pro rata for part-time colleagues)

Internal colleagues are also normally appointed at the bottom of the band, unless moving within the same profession and skill level, where the pay band is the same they can be appointed to the existing pay point.
Compliance Service Manager - BCP Homes/Facilities Management
Join BCP Homes as a Compliance Service Manager and play a pivotal role in strengthening assurance, governance and regulatory compliance across our housing portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a dedicated team and provide expert oversight of key compliance activities, ensuring our services meet statutory requirements and support safe, well-managed homes for residents.
Working within Facilities Management, you will lead the Council’s Housing Compliance Service and provide strategic oversight across landlord safety obligations including gas, electrical, fire, water hygiene, lifts, asbestos, damp and mould, and building safety. You will use robust data, assurance frameworks and performance reporting to monitor compliance, identify risk and drive continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage compliance activities, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, statutory landlord safety obligations and best practice.
- Provide expert guidance to the team and wider organisation on technical and legal compliance matters.
- Identify, assess and manage compliance risks to support resident safety, operational resilience and service improvement.
- Maintain robust evidence, audit trails and assurance frameworks to support inspection, reporting and external scrutiny.
- Prepare responses to public bodies, including the Regulator of Social Housing, the Housing Ombudsman and the Building Safety Regulator.
- Line manage a specialist team of compliance officers, supporting performance, development and wellbeing.

About you
- Substantial experience in compliance management, asset management or a related housing environment.
- Strong knowledge of statutory and regulatory frameworks, including landlord safety and building safety requirements.
- Excellent leadership skills, with experience of managing staff, budgets, contracts or specialist service areas.
- Confidence in interpreting complex information and providing clear advice to colleagues, senior leaders and stakeholders.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach, with strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
