We are working with a fast-growing London-based alternative investment manager looking to make its first dedicated compliance hire.
About the Role
The business has ambitious growth plans and is continuing to develop its investment platform, launch new funds, and build out its infrastructure. As part of that growth, they are now looking to bring in an experienced compliance professional to work closely with the COO and take ownership of the day-to-day compliance agenda.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day compliance framework
- FCA reporting, filings, and regulatory interaction
- Compliance monitoring and maintaining the compliance calendar
- AML, KYC, and investor onboarding
- Supporting new fund launches and regulatory applications
- Reviewing policies, procedures, and financial promotions
- Supporting the business on AIFMD, MiFID, and wider regulatory requirements
- Working with external compliance advisers, administrators, and legal counsel
- Providing practical compliance advice to the COO, investment team, and wider business

What We Are Looking For
- Experience within investment management, hedge funds, alternatives, or a closely related environment
- Good working knowledge of FCA regulation
- Experience across areas such as AIFMD, MiFID, AML, and regulatory reporting
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership
- Commercial and pragmatic approach to compliance
- Happy operating in a small, fast-moving, and growing business
- Cayman or offshore fund experience would be useful

Working Pattern
- 2–3 days per week, office-based
Salary
- Up to £150,000 full-time equivalent, pro-rated, plus bonus
