About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Compliance Supervisor to join a growing commercial cleaning and compliance business, overseeing teams working across commercial, industrial, retail, and public-sector sites.
This is a hands-on supervisory role, responsible for coordinating teams on site and ensuring environmental hygiene and compliance contracts are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standard.
The main areas of work include:
- General ventilation cleaning
- Fire damper testing
- Kitchen extract and grease system cleaning
- Kitchen extract fire safety cleaning
The role involves both daytime and night-time work, depending on client requirements, so flexibility around working hours is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate Compliance Operatives on client sites.
- Organise the team's workload and allocate duties according to the programme of works.
- Ensure sufficient manpower, equipment, and resources are available to complete each job.
- Set priorities and coordinate work on site to ensure contracts are completed within agreed timescales.
- Ensure all work is completed to the required standard and specification.
- Monitor work to ensure teams are following company procedures and agreed methods of working.
- Liaise with customers and site representatives to agree works and priorities.
- Deal with issues and urgent problems on site, providing solutions and escalating where necessary.
- Ensure all risk assessments and health and safety procedures are followed.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and ensure sites are left safe, clean, and secure.
- Ensure specialist equipment is maintained and report any faults, damage, or replacement requirements.
- Manage equipment and resources responsibly to ensure work is completed within allocated costs.
- Represent the company professionally when dealing with customers and site personnel.
- Support the training and development of new operatives and temporary workers.
- Communicate progress, issues, and any required remedial work to the relevant managers.
- Ensure all company, environmental, and health and safety policies are followed.

About You
We're looking for someone who can lead a team, take ownership of work on site, and maintain high standards.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience supervising or leading a team within a practical, technical, cleaning, facilities, or compliance environment.
- Experience working on commercial or industrial sites.
- The ability to organise workloads and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The confidence to liaise directly with customers and site representatives.
- The ability to identify problems and communicate solutions clearly.
- A strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Good attention to detail.
- A practical, hands-on approach.
- The ability to motivate and support team members.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Flexibility to work both day and night shifts.

Previous experience in ventilation cleaning, kitchen extract cleaning, fire damper testing, or environmental hygiene would be advantageous, but additional training will be provided where required.
Training & Development
You will receive on-the-job training, alongside relevant health and safety training and specialist industry development.
Training will include BESA Grease Hygiene Technician training, with further opportunities to develop your technical and supervisory skills.
