The Purpose of This Role

The purpose of this role is to support Musgrave NI in the financial and reputation protection of the business. The role is to determine the suitability of suppliers, manage DAP supplier engagement and facilitate the sale of goods both inside and outside of Northern Ireland jurisdictions and to ensure that proper policies, procedures, and records are carried out within the business to demonstrate appropriate processes and deliver the strategy of Growing good Business.

About The Role

Joining part of the Central Compliance team, and working across categories such as Ambient Grocery, Non-Food, Impulse Confectionery, Beers, Wines and Spirits, Frozen, Bread and Cake and Wholesale; the successful applicant will report directly to the Compliance Manager and ensure ongoing compliance with all aspects of the cross-border trade compliance, including verification of supplier data, preparation of excel spreadsheets detailing associated information, tariff management and tracking, supporting of supplementary declarations to HMRC. Additionally, they will support in wider group in various areas. The role provides a great opportunity to join a busy FMCG environment, develop knowledge and understanding to progress within the business, in a hybrid working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with key project support activities
  • Support management of budgets, risks and challenges to ensure effective compliance
  • Data Integrity – liaising with suppliers, checking paperwork and ensuring databases are accurate and up to date as required
  • Supply of internal system reports as required
  • Administration support.
  • Work cross-functionally and Divisionally as required and to form close working relationships with all Musgrave colleagues including but not exclusively, Category Managers, Trading Services Manager, Trading Managers and Trading Assistants
  • Provide goods movement support and assistance to Trading and with other functions such as Sales and Finance, as the business workload demands
  • Investigation and resolution of queries from other internal departments.
  • Make suggestions for improvement and standardise processes where possible
  • Ad Hoc requests by Category Manager for Wholesale
  • Minute taking and diary management of key stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

  • Administration experience within a fast paced business
  • Logical, thorough, and tenacious in approach to work with excellent attention to detail
  • Solid organisation and multi-tasking skills
  • A proven ability to impact and influence colleagues at all levels
  • Ability to analyse, decipher and report on data in a concise and timely manner.
  • A passion for driving standards and achieving targets.
  • Excellent written and communication skills with strong report writing skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office suite.
