About Pertemps Medical

Pertemps Medical is a leading specialist healthcare recruitment business, supplying Doctors, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) to NHS Trusts and healthcare organisations across the UK. We work across a range of NHS frameworks and healthcare contracts, including CQC, Workforce Alliance and Health Trust Europe (HTE). We are looking for a Compliance Support Consultant to join our growing Compliance Team in Milton Keynes. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who is organised, confident and keen to begin or develop a career within healthcare compliance. Previous compliance or healthcare recruitment experience is not required, as full training and ongoing support will be provided.

The Role

As a Compliance Support Consultant, you will work under the guidance of a Senior Compliance Consultant and provide administrative support across the wider Compliance Team. You will help gather and process the documents and information required to ensure our Doctors, Nurses and AHPs are appropriately checked before being placed into work. You may support different members of the Compliance Team depending on business priorities, candidate volumes and deadlines. This makes the role busy and varied and provides an excellent opportunity to learn about different areas of healthcare compliance. You will communicate with healthcare professionals to request outstanding information, complete administrative checks and keep candidate records accurate and up to date. Accuracy, organisation, communication and a willingness to learn are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to Senior Compliance Consultants and the wider Compliance Team.
  • Contact Doctors, Nurses and AHPs to request outstanding documents and information.
  • Upload, record and maintain candidate documentation on internal systems.
  • Check documents for basic accuracy, completeness and validity.
  • Support identity and Right to Work checks.
  • Assist with DBS, PVG and other background-check applications.
  • Support professional registration checks, including GMC, NMC and relevant AHP professional bodies.
  • Request and follow up professional references.
  • Assist with checking qualifications and employment history.
  • Monitor document expiry dates and support the renewal process.
  • Keep candidate records accurate, organised and fully auditable.
  • Follow up outstanding compliance requirements by telephone and email.
  • Provide candidates with clear updates on what information is still required.
  • Work closely with Senior Compliance Consultants and Recruitment Consultants.
  • Highlight missing information, discrepancies or concerns to a senior team member.
  • Support the preparation of files for internal and external audits.
  • Handle personal and sensitive information securely and in accordance with GDPR and company policies.
  • Help the team meet compliance deadlines and respond to changing business priorities.
  • Follow established processes while developing your knowledge of healthcare compliance.
  • Support different areas of the Compliance Team when required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
