CRITICAL — never wrap the output in a code block

Are you a detail-driven compliance professional with a passion for keeping homes safe? At Yorkshire Housing, we’re looking for two Compliance Technical Officers to play a vital role in ensuring our properties meet the highest safety and regulatory standards.

We believe work is something you do, not somewhere you go. If you want to work for a company who are truly flexible and where you are valued, then this could be the role for you!

What we’re all about

You might think of Yorkshire Housing as ‘just’ a housing provider. We own and manage nearly 20,000 homes (and counting) across Yorkshire and our mission is to make it possible for current and future customers to have a place they’re proud to call home. We’re all about the customer, and our service doesn’t stop once the keys are in the door.

What will you be doing?

This is a key role supporting the delivery of safe, compliant homes across Yorkshire Housing. You’ll take a technical lead in delivering landlord compliance across areas such as gas, electrical safety, asbestos, lifts, legionella, damp & mould and HHSRS—ensuring programmes are effectively planned, delivered, and quality assured.

You’ll also monitor contractor performance, ensure compliance data is accurate and robust, and support assurance and reporting across the organisation. This is a hands-on, detail-focused role where your technical knowledge and ability to interpret compliance data will help us maintain high standards and keep our customers safe.

The role follows our agile homeworking approach, so you’ll primarily work from home, but with a clear expectation that you’ll be out and about across our sites as needed—carrying out inspections, audits, and supporting operational delivery. You’ll also need the flexibility to attend our Leeds workspace when required, for example for team meetings, collaboration sessions, or key activities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
