Are you interested in financial regulation, risk management, and how global financial institutions maintain high standards of governance and conduct?
We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee to join our UK Compliance team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a global financial services organisation, supporting the Compliance team responsible for the firm's Global Banking Technology & Operations (GBTO) division.
GBTO is the business area that provides the operational, technology, and regulatory reporting infrastructure that supports banking and markets activities globally. In this role, you'll gain valuable exposure to compliance advisory work, regulatory oversight, governance, and risk management while building a strong understanding of the operational side of financial services.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting compliance monitoring and control activities.
- Assisting with regulatory developments and industry research.
- Helping oversee regulatory reporting and governance processes.
- Preparing reports, dashboards, and management information.
- Responding to stakeholder queries across Compliance, Operations, Technology, Legal, and Business teams.
- Contributing to projects linked to regulatory change and process improvement.

What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from candidates who have:
- A genuine interest in Compliance, Risk, Governance, or Financial Regulation.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to learning and problem-solving.
We'd Particularly Like to Hear From You If You Have:
- An academic background in Business, Finance, Economics, Law, Risk Management, Politics, Technology, or a related discipline.
- An interest in how technology, operations, and regulatory reporting support financial markets and banking activities.
- Previous internship, placement, or work experience in a professional environment.
