Department Overview
Nomura’s EMEA Legal, Compliance & Controls (LCC) department offers guidance, advice, and oversight regarding regulatory compliance in the EMEA region. The team collaborates closely with all internal departments as well as LCC counterparts globally to deliver consistent advice in an evolving regulatory landscape.
The EMEA Compliance Training team is responsible for ensuring that:
- Training is distributed to the correct audience
- Training adheres to an agreed schedule
- Training is accurately tracked and logged
- Relevant reporting on training is maintained
Overview
This is a critical project management and business-as-usual (BAU) role focused on:
- Administering, expanding, and enhancing a question-based learning tool (Cognexo)
- Stakeholder management for designing and implementing question banks for inclusion in Cognexo, aligned with the annual training plan
- Using Training Needs Analysis to determine learning objectives
- Maintaining the annual training plan
- Ensuring timely rollout of courses and questions in accordance with the schedule
- Writing effective questions for Cognexo and maintaining those questions
- Collaborating closely with the Cognexo vendor to ensure the tool’s smooth administration and development
- Analysing and interpreting data analytics from Cognexo to suggest appropriate actions
- Supporting the instructional designer when building effective online learning solutions using in-house tools
- Delivering ad-hoc online and face-to-face training sessions

Skills, Experience, Qualifications and Knowledge Required
Essential
- Proven track record of designing and delivering training in a professional environment
- Ability to deliver both face-to-face and virtual training
- Experience in analysing processes and converting them into effective training solutions
- Ability to identify training needs and implement suitable solutions
- Extensive experience in stakeholder management
- Excellent written and oral English skills
- Strong ability to prioritise tasks depending on team needs
- Strong analytical, written, and communication skills
- Ability to engage effectively with colleagues at all levels
- Flexibility to quickly adapt to internal and external changes
- Experience with PowerPoint, Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Willingness to be flexible during changing demands of the role
Desirable
- Experience working in a financial services training team (preferably in compliance)
- Prior experience with e-learning authoring tools
- TAP (Training Analysis and Planning) or other relevant training design/delivery qualifications
