Piran Composites are an advanced carbon fibre manufacturing company producing high specification components and structures for aerospace and defence OEMs. We are seeking a composite operative to undertake a variety of tasks within the production environment.
Training will be provided for each task you will be expected to perform, however, ability to be able to work “hands on” with a background in engineering/manufacturing would be beneficial. Transferrable entry skills range from carpentry, welding, working with materials.
Some examples of the tasks you will be performing below:
- Cutting and kitting of carbon fibre raw material
- Laying up on carbon fibre materials into mould tools
- Releasing of carbon composite components from moulds
- Cleaning/sealing/applying release agents to mould tools
- General cleaning and tidying of the work areas
- Maintaining and completing relevant paperwork
- Aid various production departments with tasks such as manual lifting and fitting, gluing, machine maintenance, packaging and documentation

We are currently recruiting for night shift which is 22:00pm - 6:00am. Monday- Friday. There is a x1.33 per hour uplift for this shift.
To succeed in this role you will require good communication skills, ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge in correct methods, be a team player, good time keeping and be able to work under pressure but also in a relaxed environment. Experience and skill operating computers and MS office a plus.
