Company Description
Based in Congleton, Cheshire, Senior Bird Bellows was established in 1975 as a family run operation serving the petro-chemical and gas industries. Since then, we have evolved to become one of the industry leaders in the design, development and manufacture of pressure duct systems, flexible joints and insulation for highly regulated industries. We have established customers in aerospace (both civil and military), as well as in the nuclear, oil and gas, chemical and pharmaceutical sectors.
Job Description
We are looking for a detail-focused Composite Operator to join our team in a regulated manufacturing environment. This role is vital to ensuring the consistent production of high-quality composite parts used for our ducting components.
Key Responsibilities:
- To assemble composite components including:
- Tool maintenance & preparation
- Material cutting and kitting
- Laminating
- Vacuum bagging
- De-moulding and trimming
- Bonding, fitting and assembly
- Control of clean room
- Visual Inspection
- To handle materials and tools safely
- To complete the above activities using defined procedures and work instructions
- To observe and maintain high standards of Health & Safety
- To ensure that all work activities and records comply with Company Policies, Procedures and Codes of Practice.
- To support continuous improvement and maintain a clean, organised workspace

Qualifications
What we're looking for:
- Strong manual dexterity and confidence performing hands-on tasks
- Proven ability to produce highly accurate, detail-critical work
- Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or composite production
- Ability to follow clear verbal and written instructions
- A responsible and safety-conscious approach to work
- Reliability, attention to detail, and a positive team attitude

Contract Information:
- Hours: Monday - Thursday (36hrs)
- Pay Rate: £13.40 p/h
