Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Composite Painter role based in Hythe. The Composite Painter will:

  • Prepare composite surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking components to ensure proper adhesion and high-quality finishes.
  • Mix and apply paints and coatings.
  • Perform spray painting on composite parts.
  • Check work against specifications and quality standards.
  • Work safely with tools and materials, following health and safety procedures.
  • Maintain an organized and clean workspace.
  • Collaborate with production teams to meet project deadlines and ensure consistent, high-standard results.

  • Strong skills in Paint, Painting, and Painting and Decorating applied to composite and marine surfaces.
  • Experience with Coatings and Spray Painting, including surface preparation and finish quality control. Knowledge of durepox and awlcraft is ideal.
  • Knowledge of safe handling of paints, solvents, and coatings, and adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to follow technical instructions, drawings, and specifications.
  • Previous experience in marine, automotive, aerospace, or composite manufacturing environments is beneficial.
  • Ability to work on-site full-time in Hythe and collaborate effectively as part of a production team.
  • Basic understanding of hand tools and equipment maintenance; vocational training or apprenticeship in painting or finishing is an advantage.
