Are you an experienced Composite Laminator or Composite Trimmer looking for your next contract opportunity in Formula 1 or high-performance automotive engineering?
GTS Group are recruiting multiple contractors to join exciting projects producing world-class composite components for some of the most advanced race cars and performance vehicles on the planet. These are long-term, Outside IR35 contract opportunities offering excellent rates, immediate starts and ongoing extensions.
Roles Available
Composite Laminators
You'll be responsible for manufacturing high-quality carbon fibre components to exacting motorsport standards.
Key Responsibilities
- ✅ Pre-preg carbon fibre layup
- ✅ Working from engineering drawings and layup manuals
- ✅ Vacuum bagging, de-bulking and curing processes
- ✅ Manufacturing complex composite structures to tight tolerances
- ✅ Trimming and finishing components to Formula 1 standards
- ✅ Maintaining exceptional quality and attention to detail

Composite Trimmers / Fitters
You'll be responsible for the finishing, assembly and fitting of composite components used in Formula 1 and high-performance automotive applications.
Key Responsibilities
- ✅ Trimming, drilling and bonding carbon fibre components
- ✅ Fitting and assembling motorsport composite parts
- ✅ Using hand tools and air tools to achieve precise fits and finishes
- ✅ Working with jigs, fixtures and templates
- ✅ Inspecting and rectifying components to meet exact specifications
- ✅ Delivering components to world-class quality standards
What We're Looking For
- ✔️ Proven experience as a Composite Laminator, Composite Trimmer or Composite Fitter
- ✔️ Background within Formula 1, Motorsport or High-Performance Automotive sectors
- ✔️ Experience working with pre-preg carbon fibre and advanced composite materials
- ✔️ Ability to interpret engineering drawings and layup manuals
- ✔️ Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances
- ✔️ Flexible approach to working days, nights and weekends
- ✔️ Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a fast-paced team environment
