Role Description
The Composite Trimmer and Fitter role is a full-time, on-site position based in Buckinghamshire. The role involves trimming, cutting, and finishing composite components to precise specifications using hand tools and power tools. The Composite Trimmer and Fitter will interpret technical drawings, measure and mark materials, and ensure accurate fitting and alignment of parts. Daily tasks include checking product quality, deburring and sanding surfaces, preparing components for assembly or paint, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace. The role also requires collaborating with workshop colleagues, reporting issues or defects, and following all health and safety procedures.

- Experience working with composite materials (e.g., carbon fiber, fiberglass) in a manufacturing, motorsport, aerospace, or similar environment.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for cutting, trimming, sanding, and drilling, with strong attention to detail and finish quality.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications, including accurate measuring, marking, and alignment of parts.
- Understanding of workshop health and safety practices, including safe handling of materials, tools, and personal protective equipment.
- Strong manual dexterity, practical problem-solving skills, and the ability to work to tight tolerances and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment.
- Prior experience in a fabrication, body shop, or composite fitting role is highly beneficial; relevant vocational qualifications or apprenticeships are an advantage.
