Your mission

We are looking for a highly skilled Composites Repair Technician to join our Hypercar Program on a permanent, full-time basis.

Based at our workshop in Frant, Kent, this is an exciting opportunity to work at the highest level of endurance motorsport, supporting the repair, refurbishment and preparation of carbon fibre and composite components both at the factory and trackside at international race and test events.

The successful candidate will be expected to be based within a commutable distance of our workshop and be able to commit to the full-time working requirements of the role. The position will involve European and international travel.

Working closely with our Engineering, Bodywork, Sub-Assembly and Race Teams, you will play a key role in ensuring components are repaired, finished and prepared to the highest possible standards.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role suited to an experienced composites professional who takes pride in quality workmanship and is comfortable working under pressure in a demanding motorsport environment.

About the role

Composites Repair & Component Management

You will carry out high-quality structural and cosmetic repairs to carbon fibre and composite components, ensuring all work is completed in line with specifications. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing damaged carbon fibre and composite components and determining the appropriate repair strategy
  • Working from engineering data, repair drawings and technical instructions
  • Carrying out structural and cosmetic repairs to the highest possible standards
  • Using visual inspection, NDT methods and scanning tools to assess component damage
  • Preparing and finishing components through sanding, trimming, bonding and surface preparation
  • Ensuring components are ready for paint, graphics, wrapping or reinstallation
  • Managing composite-specific tooling, moulds and materials
  • Maintaining accurate repair records, material traceability, cure cycles and component lifing
  • Carrying out component updates driven by the team and manufacturer in line with approved documentation
  • Supporting the ongoing management and readiness of critical race components

Trackside & Event Support

  • Provide rapid composite repair support during race and test events
  • Assess damage and carry out structural or temporary repairs where required
  • Work closely with the Bodywork Build Technicians to ensure components are accurately fitted and race-ready
  • Support damage inspection and repair activities during pitstops when required
  • Assist with garage, workshop and repair area setup and maintenance
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
  • Support the transportation, setup and teardown of composite-related equipment and materials

Quality, Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • We operate to exceptionally high standards, and attention to detail is essential.
  • You will:
  • Follow stringent repair and build processes at all times
  • Maintain accurate documentation and repair records
  • Record material usage, cure times, component history and any deviations
  • Work with Engineering to update and improve repair standards where required
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of repair methods, inspection standards and material usage
  • Ensure full traceability and compliance with team procedures

Your profile

We are looking for someone with strong hands-on experience in composite repair and a genuine passion for motorsport. Ideally, you will have:

  • Proven experience repairing carbon fibre and composite components
  • Experience in a high-performance motorsport environment
  • A strong understanding of structural and cosmetic composite repairs
  • Experience working with engineering drawings, technical specifications and repair documentation
  • Excellent sanding, trimming, bonding and finishing skills
  • Experience with composite materials, resins and curing processes
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing work to the highest standards
  • The ability to assess damage and make sound technical decisions
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team
  • A calm and professional approach when working under pressure
  • A flexible approach to working hours and international travel
  • The ability to commit to a permanent, full-time role
  • The ability to commute reliably to our workshop in Frant, Kent

Experience of trackside motorsport and/or Hypercar, WEC or similar top-level motorsport environments would be highly advantageous.
